Expanding Our Mission: Cairasu Care Institute
Building on the mission of compassionate care, Fatou Ceesay also launched the Cairasu Care Institute—an educational and training arm of Cairasu Home Care. The Institute offers high-quality training programs in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, CPR, and dementia care. It was created to meet the growing need for competent, compassionate caregivers in Wisconsin and to empower individuals with the skills and confidence needed to provide exceptional care. At Cairasu Care Institute, students are not only taught the technical skills required for caregiving, but they are also grounded in the values of empathy, dignity, and cultural sensitivity. The program serves as both a workforce development initiative and a pipeline for excellence in home and community-based care. This expansion reflects Fatou’s deep belief in uplifting communities from within—investing in people, building careers, and ultimately enhancing the quality of care available to those who need it most.
Founder’s Story
Cairasu Home Care was born from both personal experience and professional dedication. Our founder, Fatou Ceesay, has always been rooted in compassion, community, and caregiving.
Her journey into home care started not in a boardroom, but at home—watching her family cared for her grandpa who had stroke and lived 9yrs afterwards with support from her family.
Seeing firsthand how much dignity, support, and understanding matter as we age or face health challenges from very early on, shaped my journey.
With a background in psychology services and human services, Fatou recognized a gap in the care industry: too often, services focused on checklists rather than real human connection.
She envisioned something different—a home care agency that blends clinical excellence with heartfelt care. A place where every caregiver is trained not just in skills, but in empathy. A company that honors each client’s culture, story, and independence.
In 2013, she founded Cairasu Home Care, guided by the belief that aging should be a journey of dignity and choice. The name “Cairasu” means peaceful home was inspired by the spirit of care, community, and heritage—reflecting our deep commitment to serving families with warmth and cultural sensitivity thus creating a peaceful atmosphere.
Today, Cairasu stands as a trusted provider in Wisconsin, offering personalized in-home care to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those managing chronic health conditions.

Cairasu: All Things Alzheimer’s is a nonprofit initiative founded in 2019 by Fatou Ceesay, who also leads Cairasu Home Care. It focuses on promoting healthy aging, brain health, and supporting dementia caregivers in Wisconsin.
